The Apply Scope Button allows for defining background (scope) on a Widget when a button is clicked.  There are two main uses for this button:

- When there are several Selector Widgets to choose from, and you wish the query to execute only when selections are complete (indicated by the button click).
- When you wish to allow changing of filters showing on a Widget to one of a pre-determined set of filters.
To create the button, drag it from the Actions group in the Widgets Pane.

To define which Widgets to get the background from, right-click the button and navigate to Input Selection Widgets.  Similarly, to define the Widgets on which to apply the new background, navigate to Affected Output Widgets.
